Early Bird Tournament A Success for the Aces
The Minor Atom AA Flying Aces hit the ice in their first tournament of the year and it was a success. The team battled hard all weekend and grew each game they played. After a tough round robin series, the Aces made it to the Semi-finals and played a strong Halton Hills team. It was a very exciting game with both teams going back and forth but the Aces were able to come out with the win and were off to play London. The finals proved to be another close game, with both teams exchanging the lead all game. Regulation time was not enough for the teams, so the game was extended to 3 on 3 overtime, and unfortunately the Aces came up short with a nice goal by London. The coaches could not be any more proud of the boys for their accomplishments so far and are looking forward to see them grow the rest of the season!
*Fun fact- the minor atom AA team made history by capturing the first “official” win for the new association!
