U8–U18 Player Evaluation Dates – 2026–27 Season
We are pleased to share the U8–U18 Player Evaluation (Tryout) dates for the upcoming 2026–27 hockey season, in accordance with the Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) seasonal calendar.

All Player Evaluations will be conducted within OMHA-designated evaluation windows. Participation in preparation skates is not mandatory and does not impact eligibility for Player Evaluations.


Player Evaluation Start Dates

U8 & U9 (Minor Development / Select)

  • Player Evaluations Begin: Monday, April 13, 2026

  • Evaluations may take place over a 14-day window (April 11–24, 2026)

  • U8 & U9 do not follow the AA / A / B structure and will be tiered in accordance with OMHA Minor Development guidelines


U10, U11, U12, U13 (Under-11 & Under-13 Pathway)

  • AA Evaluations Begin: Saturday, April 25, 2026

  • A Evaluations Begin: Saturday, May 2, 2026

  • B Evaluations Begin: Saturday, May 9, 2026


U14, U15, U16, U18 (Under-15 to Under-18 Pathway)

  • AA Evaluations Begin: Monday, April 27, 2026

  • A Evaluations Begin: Monday, May 4, 2026

  • B Evaluations Begin: Monday, May 11, 2026

Each category and age group will be evaluated during the OMHA-approved seven (7) day evaluation window, where applicable.


Important Reminders

  • Detailed schedules, ice times, locations, and registration information will be communicated closer to each evaluation period.
  • All Player Evaluations will follow OMHA and Hockey Canada Player Pathway guidelines.
