The West Niagara Flying Aces Minor Midget AA team brought home the Niagara Falls MHA Early Bird Championship this past weekend.
Going undefeated in round robin play the 2004's won their semi final game against the Flamborough Sabres in OT in a very spirited game and now making them an instant Tri County rivalry.
The Aces then faced the highly touted and also undefeated Whitby Wildcats in the finals. Playing a text book team game sealing the 5-3 win and bringing home the hardware and banner.
The team played extremely well being short staffed much of the weekend and earned the respect of the hockey community as a team not to be taken lightly.
Congratulations boys on a terrific start to the season and from what I am told is the very first Flying Ace Championship won by the newly formed West Niagara MHA.
